What kinds of issues do you specialize in?

-
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is about getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to understand what brings you here, what you’d like to see change, and what’s been most challenging. You’ll also have space to ask me questions and see if I’m the right fit for you. We’ll set some initial goals together and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
-
What if my child doesn’t want to be in therapy?
That’s common, and I approach it with patience and care. I don’t rush therapy—I take time to build trust and help your child feel comfortable. Sometimes this means starting small, or finding activities that help ease into the process. Over time, most clients come to see therapy as a safe place where they have a voice and change is possible.
-
How do you help parents better understand their child?
I believe that when parents feel connected and informed, the whole family benefits. In our work together, I help parents step into their child’s perspective so they can better understand the “why” behind certain behaviors. This means exploring how ADHD, anxiety, or other challenges may show up day-to-day, and translating those experiences into clear, relatable terms. I also provide concrete strategies parents can use at home to strengthen communication and reduce conflict. By combining insight with practical tools, I aim to help parents feel less alienated and more confident in supporting their child’s growth and wellbeing.

While I may not be in-network with insurance plans, I provide insurance standardized super-bills for submission to your insurance carrier for out of network reimbursements.
